poultry farming, WomenResumen
Women are the key to this livestock enterprise, involved in poultry farming, in family gardens, not only from the productive side, but also from the economic and social side, they have control over the management of the flock. Women stand out as producers of these foods, they are in charge of the conservation and manipulation of the species. The important duties of women in backyard farming are related to feeding the flock, caring for sick birds or during the breeding season, preferring new items, selling the products, such as, eggs and live birds and exchange these species with relatives and neighbors from the same community. Here we emphasize that women are not only producers, they also play the role of housewives and perform the tasks associated with this profession.
